St Andrews U15’s Semi Final

City Academy U15’s were given the to with each other and other schools at St Andrews yesterday. They made it through to the semi final before losing to eventual winners CAB. Their and we’re undeniable. Well done!

The team came through the group stage in 2nd place after a 0-0 draw with CAB, a 1-0 (Josh Capelin) win against Al Hijrah; thanks to a Kieron Buchanan penalty save, and a 1-2 (Javone Forrester) loss against Waverley. We drew Shenley (who finished on the most points across all 3 groups) in the quarter finals. We went 1-0 down but Josh Capelin quickly equalised taking it to penalties. Javone Forrester, Kosheen Sappleton and Josh Capelin scoring all 3. We drew CAB in the semi finals who had clearly found their rhythm deservedly beating us 3-0. It was a great day out and the boys thoroughly enjoyed the incredible chance to play (and to score) on a professional football club’s pitch.
